The Poppyroots Cottage Witch

I am a stay at home wife and artist. I live in Iowa on a farm with my husband and fur baby, Dead Coin a Robinson. I like to describe myself as a little bit fancy, a little farm. The magic of the farm is entwined in my fantasy realm. We have a large patch of poppies beneath one of the old Cottonwood Trees, which is where Poppyroots Cottage was first discovered.

A couple decades ago, I suffered a back injury from a car accident.  Eventually, the damage took a toll on me and it became clear that I could no longer continue my career as a wedding designer. At that time, I quit my job, finally deciding to take the time I needed to pursue my art dreams.

I've dabbled in many art mediums and struggled to find one that truly spoke to me until I rediscovered clay.  I began making unicorns and mushrooms to keep myself busy at home, until, eventually, I turned to creating dragons, and just like magic, my world changed! Now, through my art, I am able to share the magic and whimsy that I've always loved.
