My Favorite Ways to Give Dragons Sanctuary

The most important thing to remember when bringing a dragon into your home is that they need a hoard or something to protect! That's why plant and bookshelves make great sanctuaries for them.

I've also found that they enjoy the warmth and community of a coffee bar. They will keep an eye on your favorite mugs, and roast those coffee beans a bit more if you enjoy a dark roast like I do!

If you have a prized collection of Pop Figs, art toys, or comic figures, your new dragon will absolutely want to roam the shelves, protecting its valuable members. It's ok if you collect stuffies/plushies, snow globes, or salt and pepper shakers (or any other dopamine inducing collectible), your dragon will easily adapt to what you love! They want to make you happy and protect your stuff as if it were their own. (Speaking from experience, here).

If you are more of a minimalist, there are a few things you can do to ensure that your home is dragon ready.

πŸ„Provide a lovely potted plant for them to nest in.

πŸ„ Make a special terrarium with fairy lights and moss.

πŸ„ If you find some miniatures, be sure to pick them up for your dragon. They love having their own stuff!

πŸ„ Collect a few rocks or crystals to sit next to them. They love shiny things!

πŸ„ Dragons love art supplies, so if you are a creative, they will gladly roost near your desk. (The colorful stuff, like markers and paint is best).

πŸ„ Contrary to what you see in the movies, dragons are very social. If you have a large collection of dragon friends, they will be perfectly fine hanging out with each other!

πŸ„ Some dragons are super fans of holidays, so don't forget to include them in your seasonal displays!

Can you think of any other special places in your home that a dragon would love?
